Turn 1 Detail was founded by Paul Josten, an MBA graduate from King University and East Tennessee native with a lifelong passion for automotive care. What began as a personal obsession for restoring and preserving vehicles has grown into a mission to deliver high-end, mobile detailing with expert craftsmanship, integrity, and convenience to the High Country and surrounding areas.

At Turn 1 Detail, our mission is simple: to deliver expert-level mobile detailing that protects your investment, enhances your vehicle’s beauty, and reflects the pride you take in what you drive. Whether you're rolling in a brand-new 4Runner or a garage-kept classic, we believe every vehicle deserves precision, care, and respect. But this business didn’t start with a business plan — it started with a faded red (well, pink) 1989 BMW 3 Series and a young guy who couldn’t stand to see it that way.
At 21, I bought that car and became obsessed with bringing it back to life. I didn’t just wash it — I studied it. I spent dozens of hours correcting the paint, polishing every trim piece, restoring the finish until it turned heads again. That single project ignited a passion I’ve carried ever since.
Since then, I’ve owned more than 30 vehicles — from Land Cruisers and classic BMWs to Jeep Wranglers, 4Runners, Nissan trucks, and vintage Hondas. Each one taught me something new. Each one reminded me that detailing isn’t about vanity — it’s about value, preservation, and connection.
Today, I bring that same passion and attention to every vehicle I touch. I’ve turned that garage-born obsession into a fully mobile, professional-grade detailing service that comes to you — fully equipped, insured, and ready to restore pride in your ride.
